Well, I don't think the 5:2 diet does anything for TAM directly. Probably the level of caloric restriction is not severe enough. But it has peripheral benefits such as weight loss and the claimed healing effect. As well is that, it adds a bit of discipline and variation to your week. I'll keep it up.

Has anyone tried a diet that excludes more foods that are known to have inflammatory or toxic properties in some individuals. Excluding things like grains and nightshades?

This is a new idea to me, so I looked it up. Nightshades I know as Solonaceae such as spuds, tomatoes and capsicums (peppers). Seems that nutrition is a fairly inexact science, hence the huge number of differing opinions and diets. Here's what looks like a sensible discussion on Solonaceae, based on published studies www.diagnosisdiet.com/nightshades/. Spuds, tomatoes and capsicums plus grains form a major part of my diet, so I don't want to be the 1st TAMite to try this. So has anyone had a grain and Solonaceae free diet?

New to me too. Not keen on being a guinea pig for this one either although I have cut belladonna from my diet.
